New Blog Post from Kris:
About the “Prove It to You” Lyric Video
I thought I’d take a moment to tell you a little about the making of the lyric video for my new single.
“Prove It to You” is above all a message to someone. My idea for the video was to explore different ways that we leave messages for each other… from a note passed at school, to a postcard in the mail, to a declaration written in sand.
This song is really personal for me, so I thought it would be cool to use some of my personal life and hometown while shooting it. You will see my dog, the hands of my friends, neighbors and family, places in my home and local businesses in Conway, Arkansas. In fact, one of the nearby high schools helped me collect several of the shots. I owe an especially important thank you to the person who unwittingly allowed me to graffiti the side of his house. (long story)
I appreciate everyone who acted as a hand model, shared their handwriting, lent me cool props like a typewriter, gave me a stamp (Nathan), or repeated a simple motion 100 times while I adjusted the lighting.
And of course, huge props to Lindsay for the countless hours she spent piecing the shots together. This would not have happened without you.
Most importantly thank you to my fans for watching, liking and sharing this video. Your support of my music means the world to me.
